Alice Foeller lives in Columbus and Westerville, with frequent trips to Athens. Her two boys are a senior in high school and a freshman in college.

Alice grew up in Columbus with her parents, one brother and two sisters. She left home to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and built her journalism career in the Chicago area. She remained in suburban Chicago until 2005, when she moved back to Columbus so her children could be closer to their extended family.

Alice was married to David Hohl, the father of her children, for 16 years.

Alice was partnered with the late Daniel Benway for nine years.

Alice is a three-time Ironman triathlete, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is writing her first book entitled, “I Choose to Live: The Journey of Recovering from the Suicide of a Spouse or Romantic Partner.”
